The last couple of days were, actually, days of pride and joy for us. All our love and endless effort, which we invest in the production of our olive oils, have been crowned with a gold medal in the most prestigious world competition of olive oils, the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC).
The winner is the monovarietal oil Červar Coratina, spicy and distinctive, known for its specific combination of scents – green almond, fresh mowed grass and artichoke. To win a gold medal in this respectable competition, is a dream for every olive oil manufacturer, and an irrefutable confirmation that he reached top quality in his work, what the whole world considers premium olive oil.
This year, because of the new situation with the pandemia, everyone watched the competition online, and the expert judges graded 881 samples of high-quality olive oils from 26 countries from all over the world, including Croatia. The result of the competition is that 32 medals are travelling to our country, which includes more than 20 gold medals. And of course, our Červar Coratina oil glitters with a golden shine.
“We are so proud and happy for winning the gold medal, because it was our first award in this competition. It was also a proof that we are on the right path with our production. Last year was really challenging, because of the summer draught, and because of all these circumstances, this medal means even more to us” – says Deni Červar, marketing manager of ZO Červar.
The New York competition has the strongest influence worldwide, and the list of winners is actually a guide through the best olive oils on the planet. We are unspeakably proud and the reward is an additional stimulation for us to keep on going, to be even better.
